Level of salt in different food

 Too much sodium in diet can lead to high blood pressure. Normally people contain 1.5 teaspoon salt per day which is much higher in need. 

  • More salt

·  Pickles, chutney, digesters, tincture for digestion, potato chips, sausage, hotdogs, salty nuts (china or almonds), popcorn, ham, bacon, chips, bottled fish, meat, vegetables, soup.          Dosa, vada, shrimp, samosa, kachori, nimki, oil-fries, salty biscuits, bhujia, any fried food. Butter, cheese, zarda, gutka, dried fish (dry), sea fish, more salted muri, roll, mukhshuddhi, any fast-food, more salty cooked food.




  •  Medium salt

·         Paneer, bread, cake, home-cooked dishes, pantua or any fried sweetmeat.

  • Less salt

·         Kanda or roots, chhana, milk, fresh vegetables, fruits, pond or river fish, homemade curd without salt.

  • Avoid

·         Packet nuts or cashew nuts, fried desserts, pickles, sauces, mukhsuddhi, chips, tinned or bottled dishes, salt-boiled, more salted muri, fried salt or sea salt, korkoch salt, more salty cooked foods.

  • Stop eating salt in the plate

·         Remove salt-pot, pickle’s bottle from dining table. Let there bee on the table with vinegar, lemon, peppermint powder filled chili-pot . Stop using salt in boiled or roasted eggs, any boiled food, fruits like guava or cucumber. Give the vinegar or lemon juice to the salad, stop mixing salt.
