Birth defect of a baby

 A new born baby may have birth defect. There may be various causes but among those following are prominent:

• Congenital heart disease (narrow valve, artery narrow, hole in heart etc.)
• Anotia: Absence of external air 
• Down syndrome: Extra copy of chromosome 
• Cleft plate: Split in roof of mouth 
• Spine Bifida: Affect spine of a child

DOWN SYNDROME 

Birth defects are common between 2% -3% of infant. The defect can be visibly abnormal, internal abnormal or chemically abnormal. Genetic disorder, infection and drug are main cause. Congenital heart disease is one of the birth defect.
